Born and raised in Toronto, Richard Rupp studied Political Science and Economics at York University. He has been a resident of Richmond Hill for over 25 years, where he lives with his wife and two children.
Richard has a long record of community involvement in Richmond Hill, volunteering and serving on the boards of several local organizations, elected as President, Vice-President, and Director. Through this experience, he has developed the leadership, collaboration, and governance skills necessary to work effectively with Council, staff, and residents to deliver practical, results-driven solutions for Ward 5.
